Veteran trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh has said that Shah Rukh Khan will compete with himself with his upcoming film Jawan.
In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Adarsh said, "Shah Rukh Khan is going to compete with Shah Rukh Khan himself. He won't compete with anyone else. He will compete with his own film, Pathaan. Believe me, when Jawan is released, the comparisons will be with Pathaan. No matter what name you call Shah Rukh Khan by, he is right there at the top."
Adarsh's comments come amid the growing anticipation for Jawan. The film, which is directed by Atlee, is scheduled to be released on September 7, 2023. The first look of Jawan was released earlier this year and it generated a lot of excitement among fans. The film's teaser, trailer and songs have further raised the expectations.
Speaking of Jawan’s advance booking report, it has already sold 391,000 tickets for Day 1 as of 10.15 am today. Given the numbers, it is expected for Jawan to collect Rs 65-70 cr on its opening day. Having said that, it is worth mentioning here that Pathaan, which was released in January this year, grossed Rs 57 crores on its release day.
