The passing of Satish Kaushik has left the whole industry and fans in shock. Just two days ago, he was seen making merry at Javed Akhtar’s Holi bash. Hence, it’s unbelievable for many to imagine that he’s no more. One such industry personality who’s finding it difficult to process this sudden development is Krishna DK, of Raj and DK fame. He worked with Satish Kaushik in the upcoming web series, Guns And Gulaabs, co-starring Rajkummar Rao.
In an exclusive interaction with Bollywood Hungama, Krishna DK revealed that it was the first and last time that he and Raj Nidumoru worked with Satish Kaushik. He said, “It was the first time we worked with him but it felt like we knew him all our lives because we’ve been watching him since childhood. We had enjoyed all his characters. He was also a very knowledgeable person. Hence, when we met him on the sets, it seemed like we knew him, though he may not have known us; he only knew our work.”
Krishna DK continued, “He was such a nice, genuine and also fun person. It used to be a highlight for all of us that Satish ji was shooting with us. We were staying in the same hotel in Uttarakhand. So, we would catch up for dinner and spend hours chatting or listening to him. He could hold an audience quite easily because he had so many stories to tell. It was just so much fun to hear him talk.”
Just last night we were in the edit, revelling in your performance. And just like that, you're gone! Unable to digest that life can be so fickle. That this is all momentary.

Krishna DK also added, “We are still working on the edit. Just yesterday, we were watching his performance and remembering the fun times we had with him. Seeing the edit, it felt like I met him yesterday. And today, in the morning, we woke up to this news. It’s shocking beyond words. It was so unexpected. We didn’t even know anything like this could possibly happen.”
Guns And Gulaabs will be one of the last few projects that Satish Kaushik signed and will be released later this year. Krishna DK signed off by saying, “We shot with him around this time last year. The shoot has been wrapped. We are now finishing the show.”
