EXCLUSIVE: “There is a Raanjhanaa hidden in Tere Ishk Mein,” reveals Aanand L Rai about his next film : Bollywood News

Aanand L Rai teamed up with Dhanush for the first time in Raanjhanaa and the result turned out to be fruitful. Also starring Sonam Kapoor, Abhay Deol and Swara Bhasker, the movie became a critical and commercial success. Following this, Rai directed Dhanush in Atrangi Re. The two have joined hands for the third time in the upcoming film Tere Ishk Mein.

Sharing the film’s current status, Rai told Bollywood Hungama exclusively, “Till a story doesn’t go on floors, its status always remains that the writers, director and makers are working hard. We are making the story so strong that it thoroughly entertains the audience. If all goes well, it will go on floors next year and the following year you will see the film.”

Earlier this year, Rai and the makers of Tere Ishk Mein released an announcement video of the film where Dhanush is seen in an act of violence. The dialogues in the video have a reference of Raanjhanaa and in the end the words, ‘From the world of Raanjhanaa’ appear on the screen.

When asked about Raanjhanaa’s connection with Tere Ishk Mein, Rai, said, “Sometimes even when makers don’t wish to repeat themselves, the rage and the ingredient of the story’s character becomes similar to another story of yours. The stories of Raanjhanaa and Tere Ishk Mein are very different stories. But the rage that Raanjhanaa had created, this is its extension; you will feel that. As the story isn’t the same, you can’t call it another Raanjhanaa. But there is a Raanjhanaa hidden in this one.”
