Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Karisma expressed gratitude for the continued love she receives from both longtime fans and Gen-Z audiences. “I think I'm very grateful to the audience and to my loyal fan base, and also I must say to the young Gen-Z’s who kind of know my movies and they dance on my songs. So I'm honestly just thankful and grateful,” she said.

The actress noted that younger generations continue to connect with various aspects of her work, including her performances, songs, fashion choices, and comedy roles. “Whether it's the movies, the songs, the fashion, the performances, the comedy, I think generations today also identify with that,” she added.

Despite being one of the most successful actresses of her era, Karisma said she has never viewed herself as someone who can simply look back and celebrate past achievements. Instead, she described herself as a hardworking artist who continues to learn. “I think I'm a mazdur. I always call myself a mazdur. I'm a worker. I'm learning every day,” she said.

Interestingly, Karisma also revealed that she has rarely watched her own films. “Till today I've never watched any film of mine. Maybe some songs and dances today or somebody will show me,” she shared.

The actress explained that audience appreciation has always mattered more to her than revisiting her past work. “For me as an artist, as an actor, it's always been that my audience should love me. My audience should love this for me. My directors should want me. They should love me and then I'm happy.”

Karisma further said she has never been comfortable dwelling on her achievements and believes her sister, Kareena Kapoor Khan, shares a similar mindset. “I cannot sit back and be like, ‘Oh, I did this.’ I think that's the same with my sister. We've just been like that. We're made like that,” she concluded.

One of the most celebrated stars of the 1990s, Karisma continues to enjoy a strong fan following across generations. Songs and films associated with her have remained part of popular culture, with several classics being reintroduced to younger audiences through modern adaptations. Tracks such as ‘Husn Hai Suhana,’ ‘Tujhe Mirchi Lagi To,’ ‘Tan Tana Tan Tan,’ and ‘Oonchi Hai Building’ have all been recreated over the years.
