EXCLUSIVE: Fardeen Khan reveals his father Feroz Khan was the first to introduce pop music to Hindi cinema : Bollywood News

Bollywood actor Fardeen Khan is one of the most famous actors from early 2000. His handsome face and grace took the audience by storm. For those who are unaware, Fardeen Khan is one of many children of the late Feroz Khan. In a recent interview of Fardeen Khan with Bollywood Hungama, the actor remembered his late father.

When asked if Feroz was a visionary, the Hey Baby actor was quick to agree. He added “He never quite sought acknowledgment for his contribution to commercial Hindi cinema but music is one aspect where he excelled. Qurbani was his first four-track stereo recording, which was done in London at the time, for that one song `Aap Jaisa Koi”.

He further continued “Even if you look at his films Dharmatma and Qurbani in terms of storytelling, editing, and action, everything was redefined. Everything was progressive in terms of techniques and technology or be it introducing pop music to Hindu cinema. I see his contribution in many ways to get it all started.”

When asked about which songs of Feroz Khan are Fardeen's favorite, he said, “Quite a few. From Dharmatma, Qurbani, and Atma. There were some nice songs in Janasheen too.”

He also added that music was something that his late father was very passionate about.

Meanwhile, Fardeen Khan is all set to make his comeback after 11 years through Visfot which is co-produced by Sanjay Gupta, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Anuradha Gupta. The film will be directed by Kookie Gulati and is slated to release in 2022.
