Netflix original series CAT started streaming on the platform from December 9 onwards. While the series has managed to garner positive reactions from the audience as well as the critics, actress Hasleen Kaur, who plays a cop in the film, opened up about her journey as an actor and her struggling days during an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama.

While recalling the initial days of her career, Hasleen asserted, “My journey has actually been a very long one, to be honest. I've been in this industry since 2011. I'd won Miss India. It's been a while since I have been around and I was modelling. But, with CAT, I feel that I have finally got the recognition that I wanted as an actor. Many aspiring actors come to Mumbai and struggle a lot. I have struggled too. I have given a lot of auditions in my life. People think beauty pageant winners easily get movie offers. It's not that easy. There's so much competition today.”

During the course of the conversation, Kaur added, “And also people don't consider a supermodel or a pageant winner as an actor. For me, this is validation that Balwinder Singh Juneja gives me this role in a crime drama series with Randeep Hooda and all the other stellar cast. This is validation for me that yes I am good. I was doing something right that's why all of that hard work has paid off.”

Speaking of her debut film, Karle Pyaar Karle, Hasleen said, “KPK didn't do well. And after that, I signed two films. They didn't end up getting made fully. I feel like every actor's life has these dull moments. I wanted to do it, but it was just not happening to me. I was giving auditions, I was modelling. But during those times, an actor needs to keep their attitude positive while believing that it will work out for them. So I was working on myself. I was just waiting patiently to get something good.”
