The multi-hyphenated artist who has been a part of the industry for over three decades now turned 54 today. On his birthday, we look back at one of his old interviews with Bollywood Hungama, where the actor revealed why he would make for a terrible stand-up comedian despite having a good sense of humour.

Arshad is known for his comic timing in films and his known for his witty one-liners as well which audiences have witnessed in his interviews and other events. However, in an earlier interview, reacting to his Pagalpanti co-star Ileana D’Cruz saying that he would have been a stand-up comedian if not an actor, he said, "No, she is wrong. I will be terrible. It's a very difficult job to be a stand-up comedian and I don't think I have it in me. I have a sense of humour; so in a conversation and in a script I can improvise, crack jokes, kisine kuch keh diya toh I have a reply. But to sit and write humour that's a talent."

"If you give me a script, I can improvise on it but if you ask me to write, I might not be able to,” he added.
