Renowned Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor recently shared his insights on the significance of discipline and professionalism in the world of entertainment. With a career spanning over quite a few decades and a multitude of successful films under his belt, Kapoor's experiences have shaped his perspective on the industry's core values. In a candid interview, he shed light on the crucial role that discipline, and professionalism play in achieving longevity and success in show business.

In an exclusive video interview with Bollywood Hungama, Anil Kapoor shed light on importance of discipline and professionalism. He said, “I think it is not only being professional, but somewhere I feel just reaching on time is not enough. You professionally reach on time, but you have to be prepped for it. What’s the point of you coming and not prepared, or you are sitting in the van but not coming out of the van.”

Citing an example, he further added, “She or he was there (shoot location) at 5 o’clock in the morning and he has not prepared with the lines until 10 o’clock, so there is no point. (One has to stay prepared) so that the director can manoeuvre you wherever he wants to and that’s what I try to do and most important is the lines.”

Sharing some advice for the actors, Anil stated, “I was listening to so many actor’s interviews, most important thing is you have to be ready with the lines, that really really helps you when you are on the set, makes you comfortable, makes you relax.”

Anil also spoke about how important it is to be adaptable and supportive to the production, direction team during tricky locations or unfavourable weather conditions, so that the team can capture the pieces they want to. He considered it not as an individual kind of a job, but a teamwork.

Anil Kapoor was last seen in Jeremy Renner’s Rennervations in a cameo role after The Night Manager, which received critical acclaim. His upcoming projects include Animal with Ranbir Kapoor and Fighter with Hrithik Roshan.
