Recently, Ajay got into an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama and spoke at a length about Bade Acche Lagte Hain, working with Nakul and the shift from 1st season to 2nd season.

On working with Nakuul, Ajay said, "I know of his wife before because we were in the same school. Janki and I were in the same school and batch. So, I kind of knew Nakuul but I didn't know him personally. Since we have started working together, we've become really good friends. He is a very nice and cool guy. So. no issues with that. He is very humble and very ground to earth. He is very excited about the project and we all are actually. It's just very great to work with him.

We asked Ajay why Bade Acche Bade Lagte Hai is special for him. To which he confessed, "We've been shooting day and night Every scene has to be just perfect. Ekta has also done a lot of work on it. She has put a lot of effort and money into it. This production is a very big production like we're shooting for a movie or something. Every department including the direction department, the cinematographers and the actors are putting their 110% into it. There's a lot of hard work and a lot of long shoot days but it's all worth it. I'm really looking forward to the audience to watch it."

He added, "We all work hard but this season has become special because If I tell somebody that I'm doing Bade Acche Lagte Hain everybody is like 'Oh My God, Are you serious?'. the general response which I get for the show when I speak to people is positive. Everybody has been waiting for it. I'm really crossing my hands and hoping that the show gets on the right note."

Later in the chat, he also talked about doing the show as a responsibility and achieving the benchmark it had already established. "The recall value of the show is really great. People are really recalling it very instantly. Yes of course I did felt a responsibility but then that works for every show. Any new show also if you're a part of, you wanna give it your best. You wanna kick it to a level. Of course, we're aware of the fact that it is a big show, it's a big production house we've to be on the wall every time. But then again it's a season 2 so the entire cast is different, the look is different and the story is different. So that was Baby no. 1 and this is Baby no. 2. People have to and I would love people to accept this new baby with this new base and form, new shape and characters. We've remained very true to the theme of the show," says Ajay.

He also says, "The characters in this season are very relatable. When you'll see Ram and Priya, you'll feel like you know them for very long and makes you feel them. So, I really hope it touches people's hearts. It is indeed a very big responsibility as people have really high expectations and we've been trying really hard and achieve the expectations."

Lastly, we asked him how's been the approach changed from the first season to the second season. To which the 35-year-old actor revealed, "I'll be very honest, I haven't seen the first season of Bade Acche Lagte Hai. Although, I'm part of this season I haven't seen the first season. So, I'll not be the right person to compare both seasons. But, what we are doing here is very different because when you'll see Disha and Nakuul's characters, they are very approachable and you'll feel very relatable that the same things happen in my life as well."

He also appreciated the writing and script for the second season and feels the characters are way more relatable this time. Ajay says, "The writing is very real this time and the performances are gonna be very subtle and it's not gonna be overhyped and dramatic the way it is generally in daily soaps. The whole approach has been very different towards the show this time. It is a very contemporary and modern-day show and deals with modern-day problems like love, relationships and heartbreaks and exes. I haven't been a part of such a show previously. To my knowledge, there hasn't been such a show like this in the past."
