In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, when she was asked about the hypothetical possibility of replacing the lead actress in a Bollywood classic, Alaya hesitantly stated, “Alia Bhatt in Gully Boy and Alia Bhatt in Kapoor and Sons.” She praised Alia Bhatt for making such a profound impact in a movie with a comparatively smaller role.

While Alaya is presently filming for Ekta Kapoor's Freddy, in which she will star alongside Kartik Aaryan, this romantic thriller is said to include a lot of unexpected twists and turns. The protagonists in the film are expected to send moviegoers on a dark and tense roller-coaster ride, blurring the limits between love and obsession. She will also appear in U-Turn, followed by a film directed by Anurag Kashyap.
