EXCLUSIVE: “Aamir Khan is enough to bring openings; I hope I can add some advantage to it in some small way,” says Laal Singh Chaddha actor Naga Chaitanya

Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya, who is gearing up for the release of Laal Singh Chaddha starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, commented on Aamir Khan’s stardom saying the actor is enough to get a great box office collection for the film.

In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Hungama, when asked if his upcoming film will be able to score a good box office opening collectionS, considering the kind of fan following the actor has in South, Chaitanya replied, “I hope so. I hope I can bring some advantage to the film in terms of openings but of course Aamir sir is enough to bring those openings. People love him all over the world in fact, but yes, I hope I can add some advantage to it in some small way,” he added.

Additionally, the actor also shared his thoughts on Laal Singh Chaddha being a film that will considerably do well on weekdays. “See some films, what I believe is, on the opening Friday, Saturday, Sunday - in at least what we experience in the South. It's usually first the fans that want to come. And then it's the film critics and the regular movie goers that come on these three days. From Monday onwards, when the film gets a good word of mouth, it's the families that start coming, the women.”

He continued, “When the women come, they bring the entire family with them. So, this is the trend we sort of experience on the weekdays. And that's when that steady collection starts to come in. So, a film like Laal Singh Chaddha has got emotions that will connect to every section of the audience, every age group. So, it's a film that the entire family can come watch together and go back and talk about. So that's why this is probably coming from what we just spoke about.”

Laal Singh Chaddha, produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Kiran Rao, and Viacom18 Studios, stars Aamir Khan Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, and Chaitanya Akkineni. The film will be released on 11th August 2022.
