Esha Deol shared a deeply emotional post as she resumed work commitments following the passing of her father, veteran actor Dharmendra. The legendary star passed away on November 24 at his Mumbai residence, leaving the Hindi film industry and his family mourning an irreplaceable loss.

Over three weeks after his demise, Esha took to her official social media handle to address her fans and followers. Announcing her gradual return to work, the actor requested understanding and kindness as she continued to cope with her grief.
In an Instagram story, Esha wrote, “I had kept a few work commitments on hold for a long time which I would be posting & sharing with you all now in the coming days. Please understand me as a human & most importantly as a daughter who is still grieving the loss of her most loving precious father. A loss I would never get over.”
She further added, “If I had things my way I would wish to not be on this platform for sometime and just take a break. But I can't do that. So, try & be kind and understanding. Thank you for the love & support always. Love you all.”
Following Dharmendra’s passing, his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol hosted a prayer meeting at Taj Lands End in Mumbai. On the same day, his wife Hema Malini organised a Gita Paath at her residence. Later, on December 11, Hema Malini, along with daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol, held a separate prayer meet at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi.
Meanwhile, fans are eagerly awaiting Dharmendra’s final on-screen appearance in his posthumous film Ikkis. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the film also stars Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia and is scheduled for a theatrical release on January 1, 2026.
