Esha Deol, daughter of two iconic actors like Dharmendra and Hema Malini, decided to pursue acting unlike her sister Ahana Deol, who decided to continue with her dancing career. She made her big Bollywood debut in 2002 with the film Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe, which starred Aftab Shivdasani along with Jaya Bachchan, Sanjay Kapoor, and others in key roles. The actress, who has been quite on social media, decided to dedicate a post, a week later, expressing her love for the film and explained about how it will always remain special for her.

Esha Deol took to social media to share a few montages from the song, ‘Lapak Jhapak’ which is a part of the film and the film’s album, sung by Kamaal Khan. The track is a peppy number picturized on Aftab Shivdasani and Esha Deol and features the latter showing off her graceful dance skills on stage with audiences cheering loudly for her. In the caption for this video, she said, “Sometimes you got to let go loosen up and just dance to the beat of your heart”.

The actress, along with expressing her gratitude towards choreographer Farah Khan who helped her in the steps she performed in the dance number, also penned a note about sharing late post, a week after the film completed 22 years. She added, “Throwback to my first film & an 18 year old me (I Love You Gesture emoji) @boney.kapoor (hug emoji) @farahkhankunder (hug emoji)”. “(Last Thursday on 11/1 my first film turned 23 years and I missed doing a post then - this film is always cherished being my first one),” she concluded.

Speaking of Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe, the film featured Esha Deol in the role of a simple and introverted young widow, who meets the free-spirited Aman (Aftab Shivdasani) in college and a love blossoms between the couple, until the former’s husband (Sanjay Kapoor) returns from the grave and creates a havoc in their lives. The romantic actioner released on January 11, 2002.
