Ektaa R Kapoor, who is also known as the Czarina of Indian Television, recalled memories of one of her biggest shows Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Known as the cult show which premiered its first episode on July 3, 2000, the serial on Star Plus became one of the highest TRP rated shows on Indian Television, instantly making a connect with the audience. Reminiscing about the show, Ekta took to social media to pen a sweet note as it completed 24 years on Wednesday.

The producer took to her Instagram page to share an old video where she is seen wearing a saree, inspired by the looks of the characters from the Star Plus show, especially from that of Tulsi Virani (played by Smriti Irani). Along with that, Ektaa R Kapoor also penned a note where she not only expressed gratitude towards her leading lady but towards the leading man Amar Upadhyay, who played Tulsi’s husband Mihir Virani as well as Ronit Roy, who later replaced the latter in the show.

In her note, she said, “24 years ago a show changed my life ! This video is when it completed a year ago! Thanku @smritiiraniofficial @ronitboseroy @amarupadhyay_official n many others! Thanku @sameern @starplus n mavericks Raju bhai n Vipul’s bhai n anil Nagpal ! Thanku @niveditabasu @tanusridgupta !! Thanku audience !!! This video was when I was -20 years n kgs ! Oooooooooh sooooooooo tempted to get oxempicked !” Actress-turned-politician Smriti Irani, who tasted immense success with this show, also dropped a comment on the post saying, “History with a heart”.
