For the last two years, many of us have been missing festivities and celebrations owing to the pandemic. But this year, the bettering situation has been a warm welcome for everyone. Huma Qureshi too is quite relieved for the restrictions to have been lifted as this year the actress gets to celebrate Eid with his family. And the actress even gave a glimpse of the celebrations as she posted photos from the festivities along with her parents and actor-brother Saqib Saleem.

In one of the recent interviews, Huma Qureshi had stated that even though she has a working Eid, her parents are in town, so she will be taking time out to spend the day with them. And keeping to her word, the actress was seen having a gala time with them and her brother. She posted a Eid Mubarak wish on Instagram along with a series of photos from the celebrations saying, “We all took the floral theme too seriously (I think ) Eid Mubarak !! Peace Love Joy To everyone .. a day of sharing love care #familyfirst ❤️????????#life #love.”

Adding to it, her brother Saqib Saleem too added some fun photos of his and Huma along with a few photos with their parents.

Describing about her Eid celebrations, Huma revealed that often the festival comprises of wide spread feast including specialty delicacies like biryani, nihari, paya, kheema and the popular sheer kurma. The actress also revealed that she has taken a dislike to sugar of sorts, so she will be having a sugar free portion of kurma kept separately for her. Huma asserted that festivals, birthdays and such occasions are times dedicated to family and that she tries to do it as much as possible.

Huma also expressed her disappointment for not being able to fast this year because of the shoot schedule since the actress is shooting for Chef Tarla Dalal biopic. The actress also walked down the memory lane and reminisced about her childhood Eid celebrations and how the siblings would often fight over Eidi.

The upcoming film Tarla will feature Huma Qureshi as the popular vegetarian chef as the film traces the journey of a working mother who changed the phase of cooking and vegetarian food in India. Some of her recipes remain to be iconic even today amongst working mothers. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh Tiwari, the film is directed by Piyush Gupta.
