In a recent interaction, when asked about casting Bobby Deol in Aashram, he replied, "Bobby really worked hard. He has the capacity to play this role and that is why I thought to cast him. I needed a face that appealed to everyone, and hats off to him; he worked really hard on his character, on the language and understanding of the role.”
Meanwhile, the actor too had appreciated the filmmaker by expressing his keen desire to work with him. “It's possible because of one man - Prakash ji. There was a time when I was looking for work and trying to change my image. But such opportunities were few and far between. Then one day, casting director Shruti Mahajan called me. She informed me that a web series named Aashram is being made and that Prakash ji is its director. I was stunned as I was dying to work with him for a long time.
