Did Kangna really refuse to wear bikini in Rascals? : Bollywood News

Currently, Kangna may be an eye of storm due to not-so-flattering stories floating around trouble in her paradise, what with senior actors like Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn said to be not being as kind to her today as they were during last couple of years. Though Kangna's camp insists that all of this is pure hogwash and the rumours are being spread by those who are jealous of her star status after the success of Tanu Weds Manu and Double Dhamaal, her Rascals team is also swearing by her.

"It is unfortunate that Kangna is seeing such unwanted negativity coming her way when on the contrary she should have been celebrating her standing in the industry", says a senior crew member from Rascals, "Look at the way she is carrying herself in Rascals. As the solo leading lady in the film she is enjoying all the attention. Everyone is quite happy with her presence as well as the performance in the film. If that was not the case, would the promos have featured her so extensively? After all with Sanjay and Ajay in it, Rascals would still have been in news had the leading lady not been promoted. But still this is not the case because no one has any issues with her."

However, it wasn't too long ago when Kangna was supposed to have thrown a fit when asked to wear a bikini for the film, something that hadn't pleased her co-stars or director David Dhawan. In fact it was also being said that the film's shoot had been delayed due to Kangna's discomfort.

"All of that is rubbish", Dhawan counters here, "She did what was asked what to do and the results are there to be seen in the very First Look of the film which starts with Kangna walking in a bikini. In any case from Day One she had never refused to wear a bikini. She just asked for some extra time as she wanted to exercise and get fit to ensure good screen presence."

Expectedly, he goes on to sing praises about the actress with whom he has worked for the first time ever. "Kangna is superb and she has done really well in the film. Comedy is serious business and you would see her emerging as a great actress here. Sometimes all you need is a good role to show a new facet of your acting skills. Kangna has made full use of that opportunity in Rascals", he gushes.

Now if only Kangna gets many more staunch supporters like Dhawan in months ahead as well, she could well be singing 'Happy days are here again' soon.
