Samaira Rekhi, the stepdaughter of actor Dia Mirza, turned 14. She received birthday wishes from the actress. Dia posted a picture on her social media account to wish Samaira. She is the child of Vaibhav Rekhi, the businessman who is Dia's husband, and his first wife, Sunaina. After being married in 2021, Dia and Vaibhav had a boy.

On Thursday, Dia took to her Instagram and shared a picture of herself along with her stepdaughter Samaira Rekhi. In the picture Samaira can be seen on Dia’s knee. The two were driving through the forest in an open jeep. Samaira was pictured dozing off on her stepmother's lap with her eyes closed. She was being held by Dia with one hand on her head and the other on her leg. Sharing the picture, Dia wrote in caption, “It’s our baby girls 14th birthday ???? Sam, may you always know that your safe space is in our arms. We will always love you, protect you and hold you close. Have a magical day and year ahead jaan.”

She further added, “I carry your heart in my heart.”

Soon after she shared the picture, fans and industry friends poured their love in the comments section. Several fans wished Dia’s stepdaughter a very happy birthday.

The recent film Bheed, which debuted on Friday, featured Dia as Geetanjali, an affluent woman who is stranded on the motorway due to the pandemic-induced lockdown and unable to reach her child. Anubhav Sinha's black-and-white film centres on the difficulties that people encountered nationwide while the country was under lockdown because of the COVID outbreak.

Next, Dia Mirza will appear in the road trip drama Dhak Dhak, alongside Ratna Pathak Shah, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanjana Sanghi. Taapsee Pannu’s production house Outsiders Films is backing the movie.
