Krystle D’Souza recently reflected on a memorable moment with her Dhurandhar co-star Ranveer Singh from the launch of the song ‘Shararat’, offering insight into why she believes his superstardom goes beyond box office numbers. Speaking in an interview, the actor recalled how an unplanned gesture by Ranveer turned what was meant to be a simple music launch into a moment she continues to cherish.

Recounting the event, Krystle explained that there was no intention for her to perform on stage that day. “There was no plan to go up on stage. Jasmine Sandlas and Madhubanti Bagchi launched the song by singing it on stage. It was just the music launch, but when they started singing, we saw the crowd had started vibing to the song. That was the first time they heard Shararat, but everyone was vibing.”
According to Krystle, it was Ranveer who instinctively read the mood of the room. “That's when Ranveer said, ‘Krystal, this is your song. We need to go on stage and perform.’ I wasn't prepared for it at all because I was wearing a saree, and I was not sure if I'd be able to dance in a saree.” She further described how Ranveer ensured the singers had their moment before shifting the focus to her. “But that's the energy Ranveer gives out. You feel like matching up to it. He gave Madhubanti and Jasmine the time on stage to sing the song, and then he said let's do it one more time, but with Krystal, because it is her song and she needs to perform it.”
What stood out for Krystle was the intention behind the gesture. “He took me on stage and gave me the centre to perform. As an actor, as a human being and as somebody from this industry, that meant a lot to me. That somebody is giving you the importance in that moment. It’s very rare to find that, that's why he's a superstar, and he is where he is.”
She also recalled how Ranveer tried to ease her nervousness. “Ranveer wanted me to have my moment for my song and tried his best to do the steps as well. He told me that he'd copy my steps, and that was so sweet that he was trying to give me that motivation and attention for that moment.”
On the professional front, Ranveer Singh continues to remain in the spotlight with Dhurandhar, a spy action thriller written and directed by Aditya Dhar. Produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar under Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the film features an ensemble cast including Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and R. Madhavan, and released on December 5.
The actor will reprise his role as undercover agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi, also known as Hamza Ali Mazari, in Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the second and final instalment of the duology. Shot back-to-back with the first part, the sequel follows his mission deeper into Karachi’s criminal and political networks while addressing larger threats tied to the 26/11 attacks. The film is slated for a theatrical release on March 19, 2026, coinciding with Gudi Padwa, Ugadi and Eid-al-Fitr.
