Costume designer Neha R Bajaj once again drew attention for her work in The Family Man Season 3, where she shaped the distinctive looks of the series’ new antagonists. Known for translating character psychology into visual detail, Bajaj played a key role in defining the presence of the villains portrayed by Nimrat Kaur and Jaideep Ahlawat.

Speaking about the brief for the show, Neha explained that the aim was to create antagonists who felt compelling rather than exaggerated. “For The Family Man 3, the brief was to design villainous looks that were attractive, intelligent, powerful, and memorable,” she said.

For Nimrat Kaur’s character, Bajaj focused on crafting a strong yet refined visual identity. “With Nimrat, we wanted to build a confident, high-end boss-lady aura,” she shared. “We worked closely on every outfit and detail to make sure the look reflected both strength and allure.”

Jaideep Ahlawat’s character, on the other hand, required a more grounded approach. “For Jaideep sir, the focus was on effortless, rustic swag,” Neha said. “The long hair, tattoos, and lived-in clothing were meant to reflect a life constantly on the move. Nothing was overly styled, but every element was intentional.”

Neha also revealed that her responsibilities extended beyond just the antagonists. “I served as the costume designer for the entire season, and it was a demanding but exciting experience,” she added. “At the same time, I am currently focused on creating costumes for the film Toxic.”

Nimrat Kaur, who played a key role in the new season, spoke about the importance of visual storytelling for her character. “Creating Mira’s look was crucial to telling her story,” she said. “It needed to be striking and align with Raj & DK’s vision of her as a femme fatale. Under Neha’s guidance, every detail—from silhouettes and cuts to jewellery and the trench coat—was carefully chosen. The styling also followed the character’s arc, which made it one of my most fulfilling on-screen roles.”

With her work on The Family Man 3 and upcoming projects like Toxic, Neha R Bajaj continues to strengthen her reputation as a versatile costume designer, moving seamlessly between character-driven OTT series and large-scale film productions.
