Reflecting on the journey that led him to this moment, he shared, “No, it's been an absolute honour to, first of all, be entrusted to take over any mantle, let alone one that, as Falcon, but that Anthony Mackie himself established. And hearing his stories of the amount of letters he used to write Kevin, to bring him into the MCU, to me, it really humbles me in regards to just getting the audition and the opportunity to walk into something that's been established.”

Ramirez’s portrayal of Falcon marks an exciting shift in the MCU’s evolving roster of heroes. His journey parallels his character’s own, as Joaquin Torres steps up to take on the Falcon title. The actor expressed how surreal it felt to work alongside Hollywood legends like Mackie and Harrison Ford (who plays General Thaddeus Ross), emphasizing how their presence on set made the experience even more fulfilling, “But then also, that paralleled my life at the moment so much, which was just admiring the ability to work with some of my heroes and being able to admire them on set. And that was a dream come true for both Danny and Joaquin, and they made the job so easy. So shout out Anthony, shout out Harrison, and shout out MCU.”

The Falcon mantle, originally held by Mackie’s Sam Wilson, was officially passed to Joaquin Torres in the Marvel comics—a storyline that now finds its way into the cinematic universe. With Captain America: Brave New World, audiences will witness Torres’ evolution into a full-fledged hero, and Ramirez’s passion for the role suggests that he is more than ready for the challenge.
