“Craving maniac” Dimple Kapadia credits “divine plan” for being part of Pathaan, Tu Jhoothi Mai Makkaar, and Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo : Bollywood News

Dimple Kapadia is undeniably one of the finest actors in the Indian film industry. She has consistently delivered outstanding performances that have left audiences mesmerized. Whether it's her early breakout role in Bobby or her recent captivating portrayal in Tenet, Dimple has showcased her ability to bring characters to life with depth and authenticity. In fact, the veteran actress also received a positive response for her performance in Disney+ Hotstar’s latest series Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo.

Reflecting on the aspect of being an actress, in an Email interview with PTI, Dimple asserted, “I’m like a craving maniac… I forget my sleep, my food and I am 24/7 hyper. I drive myself sick with worry. I’m crazy. I don’t like that about myself, but that’s me. I can’t help it. Maybe that works for me.”

Besides Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo, Dimple also played a pivotal role in two more Bollywood releases, Pathaan and Tu Jhoothi Mai Makkaar. While stating that it was not a conscious decision to have back-to-back releases this year, Kapadia added, “I (have) never planned anything in my life. I don’t need to because the divine plan is far bigger than what I can ever imagine… It’s destiny. It’s God’s grace and will.”

For the unversed, the National award-winning actress stars as Savitri, also known as Rani Ba, in the latest series Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo. She portrays the powerful matriarch who leads a drug cartel alongside her daughters-in-law Bijli (Isha Talwar) and Kajal (Angira Dhar), as well as her daughter Shanta (Radhika Madan). Speaking of working on the show, Dimple said, “I loved the part. I enjoyed it thoroughly, except when I was doing the action.”

This crime-drama series, consisting of eight episodes, is created and directed by Homi Adajania. Alongside Dimple Kapadia, the show features an ensemble cast including Ashish Verma, Varun Mitra, Udit Arora, Deepak Dobriyal, and Monica Dogra. The series premiered on May 5 and offers an intriguing narrative filled with suspense and thrilling plotlines.
