“I had a corporate job, but quit that to be an actor,” says Jersey actor Saurabh V Pandey

Saurabh is a popular actor who has done various projects earlier. But what many people don't know is that Saurabh used to work for a corporate company before becoming an actor.

Talking about it, he says, “I had a corporate job earlier, but quit that to be an actor. I knew it was a big risk in terms of my career, but I wanted to take it because I was so inclined toward acting. While it hasn’t been an easy journey – there were many rejections and endless auditions, but I believed in my talent and myself. Today, I am glad that my dream has come true and I have no regrets about leaving my job."

Further talking about the same, he added, "I guess somewhere I always wanted to become an actor, since my college days. My confidence got boosted when I won the fresh face of the Bombay Times. As education plays a vital role, so I completed my studies first, then joined an internship and a job too, in a corporate company. Simultaneously, I started giving auditions. And when I got shortlisted for the projects, I decided to leave everything and just focus on acting. That's how my journey to showbiz began."

Revealing his favourite actors, Saurabh said, " I was appealed by the cinema world. Since my college days, acting has been my field of interest. My favourite actors are Hrithik Roshan and Shahid Kapoor."

Elaborating about his initial struggles in the industry, the actor says, "I faced a lot of hurdles to have a place for myself in the industry. I was clueless when I started looking for auditions. I was working in an IT company and would head straight after my office to enquire about auditions. Initially, I struggled a lot because I didn't have anyone guiding me. I was rejected a number of times but never demotivated myself. If I had bad days, I have good days too. One thing that I kept in my mind was to never give up and keep on exploring this field."

Saurabh feels that the love from the audience is like a booster dose for him. He says, "To be honest, today I feel that it was a good decision to quit my job and pursue my career in acting. I know every job has its own value, but I believe that in this job, my happiness comes from the audience who shower immense love on me. Love from the audience is like a booster dose for me, which helps me to remain motivated and dedicated to work hard."

Actor Saurabh V Pandey has been seen in films like Atkan Chatkan, Lipstick Under My Burkha and many more. Now, he is being praised for his performance in the film Jersey.
