Comedian-actor Kenan Thompson, the host 74th Primetime Emmy Awards, had a surprise reunion with Good Burger co-star Kel Mitchell at the awards ceremony performing a Good Burger sketch.
According to Entertainment Weekly, in a skit set at a bar tended by "honourary bartender" Kumail Nanjiani, Thompson asked The Eternals star, "Why don't you take this guy's order over here?" He then walked over to a patron with his head down, hiding his face. "Excuse me, sir," Thompson said, "can we get you a drink or something?"
The man was then revealed to be Mitchell. "You know what... can I get a Good Burger?" he asked to applause from the audience. Looking all surprised, Thompson screamed, "Oh my God!" and immediately hugged Mitchell before the two started jumping around.
“Make it two good burgers... the sequel's coming at you!,” Thompson said before closing out the segment, teasing that the fan-favorite duo would once again join forces for a Good Burger sequel next year.

Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell co-starred on several Nickelodeon programs in the '90s, including television series Kenan & Kel and All That, and the 1997 film Good Burger. Additionally, Thompson recently teased a potential sequel to the film during an appearance on The Tonight Show, telling host Jimmy Fallon about whether or not Good Burger 2 is happening. "I would like it to!" the Saturday Night Live star said in August. "We are working harder on it than ever, so it's about meeting the numbers, letting them numbers match up. 'Cause I need them numbers."
