Known for his action and realistic films, Nishikant Kamat who has directed films like Dombivli Fast and Mumbai Meri Jaan, will now be directing Madari starring Irrfan Khan. While the details of the film have been under wraps for a while, here’s a glimpse of the actor in the film.
Irrfan Khan plays an emotional father in this film but it seems the actor will also have a mysterious streak to his role. From what we hear, Irrfan plays the role of a father who loses his son in a bridge collapse and struggles for his justice and also for the affected families. On the other hand, it is being said that Jimmy Shergill plays the role of a CBI officer.
Filmmaker Nishikant Kamat who recently opened up about Madari revealed that the film is inspired by the Saki Naka bridge collapse that happened in Mumbai way back in 2012. Unfortunately, a similar incident took place in Kolkata recently and Nishikant who is equally saddened by the news, claimed that his film, in no way, is or will try to cash in on the incident. He also extended his condolences to the affected families.
