It is time yet again for ‘Chaar Baj Gaye’ and seems like for Remo D’Souza, party abhi baaki hai! So impressed are the young makers of upcoming comedy Pyaar Ka Punchnama with the song and it’s super success that they have pronto summoned Remo to repeat the same magic for their film as well. Though Remo has moved on to the next level by being a full time director, he has consented to choreograph a club song called ‘Chak Glassi’ for the film.
Confirms Abhishek Pathak, producer of Pyaar Ka Punchnama that launches six newcomers, “The world is singing ‘Char Baj Gaye’ today and it is not just due to it’s music but also due to the way it was choreographed and picturised. We have a party situation for our film and it was just apt that Remo makes it extra special for us with the song ‘Chak Glassi’.”
In the film, the song arrives at a crucial juncture in the film when three youngsters (Kartik Tiwari, Rayo Bhakirta, Divyendu Sharma) are joined by their respective girlfriends (Nushrat Bharucha, Ishita Sharma, Sonalli Sehgall) in Goa. A party song follows which not just acts as an eye candy affair but also brings a twist in the tale.
Though the makers aren’t willing to reveal much beyond this, they do promise that ‘Chak Glassi’ would add on to the celebration season after ‘Char Baj Gaye’. Says first time director Luv Ranjan, “The song is of, for and by the youth. The basic requirement was to have a catchy tune and that’s something which composer Ad Boyz has ensured. Now it is time to present it in just the right way so that it catches attention of our target audience. With Remo coming on board, I am quite positive that the song would be a rage, mark my words.”
For this beach song, an elaborate set has already been put together before the shoot kick-starts this week. Though the film’s release is just round the corner (on 20th May), the makers are quite positive that they would be able to wrap the shoot, get the final cut in quick time and also promote it extensively before it’s time to hit the screens.
This is not all as another music video which is being put together is that of ‘Ishq Na Kariyo Kakke’ which is currently playing in the background for the film’s promos. It is sung by Mika whose popularity today is at an all time high.
Informs a source attached to the film, “Just a few weeks back when Tanu Weds Manu released, it’s ‘Saddi Galli’ became a rage. To think of it there was no music video there but still it was so popular. Now imagine how far it would have gone had there been a song picturised on that tune as well. Though music video of ‘Ishq Na Kariyo Kakke’ was initially not a part of the film, since the song by itself is so catchy, there was no the makers would have let go off a golden opportunity to cash in on it.”
