Ibrahim Ali Khan, who made his debut with Nadaaniyan earlier this year, has embraced his imperfections in a new ad campaign for the retail brand Wrogn. In the video, Ibrahim speaks candidly about his speech impediment, choosing to use his own voice—lisp and all—rather than dubbing.

“Some people are born gifted, and some, born imperfect. As for me, I was born imperfect. And that’s okay, man. Perfection is just overrated yaar,” he says in the ad. Sharing the campaign on Instagram, he added, “For the longest time, I thought I had to ‘get it right’. Turns out, what’s real is far more powerful than what’s perfect. This is me, Wrogn but real.”

Fans praised his honesty, with comments like “So rare to see honesty like this in campaigns. Feels relatable and real,” and “In an era where filter and fakeness rule, it’s inspiring to see authenticity take the spotlight.” Another wrote, “I think you’re perfect..!! Good post though,” while one called it “Such an important message.”

This isn’t the first time Ibrahim has addressed his speech difficulties. Back in May, a few months after Nadaaniyan released, he clarified speculation that his voice was dubbed because of a lisp. Speaking to GQ India, he revealed that the issue stemmed from a severe case of jaundice at birth. “Soon after I was born, I had very bad jaundice and that went straight to my brainstem. I went on to lose quite a bit of my hearing, and that impacted my speech. My speech is something that I've had to work hard on since I was a child, with coaches and therapists. It's not perfect; I'm still working really hard on it,” he said.

On the professional front, Ibrahim was last seen in Sarzameen, a JioHotstar film starring Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
