Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is all set to take the story of Wakanda forward after the passing of Chadwick Boseman. The actor passed away in 2020 following a prolonged cancer battle. While the project moved forward, the team of Marvel ensured that the legacy of Chadwick Boseman remains intact in the film. As it turns out, Marvel Studios’ upcoming film honours the actor. The newly released featurette from their action entertainer saw the main cast get together to remember Chadwick Boseman while paying a beautiful tribute to him.

We worked together on where we wanted the story to go.” Adding to that, Winston Duke, who plays M’baku, says, “We all suffered an incredible loss. All together we ended up using these feelings to create something really special.”

Letitia Wright, who will reportedly don the new Black Panther’s indestructible suit, said that the entire team was very “excited about us honouring Chad”. She says in the video, “Yeah, he wanted us to just inspire the world.”
Ahead of the release, Marvel Studios unveiled 12 new character posters giving closer look at the major players — and antagonists — featured in the film. In the film, Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba) fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda. Introducing Tenoch Huerta as Namor, king of Talokan, the film also stars Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena and Alex Livinalli.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever reportedly clocks in at 2 hours 41 minutes making the film longest Phase 4 movie. The film opens in tehatres November 11, 2022 in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu in India.
