On his 70th birthday on October 11 this year, Amitabh Bachchan inaugurated a mobile diabetes detecting van. The veteran actor tweeted, "Inaugurated
"Amitabh" the mobile diabetes unit from Silver Star, the noble charitable organisation that I patronize, in Mumbai .. Free diabetes tests conducted by these mobile units ... proud
to be associated with it in patron, and to contribute for its extension."
On his official Facebook page, Bachchan further posted, "We have donated four vans so far - 2 in UK, one in Goa and now one in Mumbai .. Started by the Hon Keith Vaz MP in
the British House of Commons, whom you see in picture along with the Deputy High Commissioner of UK, and the framed picture is a gift from Keith Vaz for me autographed and
signed to me by two British Prime Ministers - Tony Blair and the current David Cameroon ... honoured and blessed in doing this noble deed for this 'silent killer' diabetes."
