Bhumi Pednekar is one of the most successful actors of today’s generation. She made her acting debut in 2015 with the film Dum Laga Ke Haisha opposite Ayushmann Khurrana. Ever since, she has displayed her performance in films like Toilet-Ek Prem Katha, Saand Ki Aankh, Bala, and Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare among others.

In a recent interview with Grazia India, Bhumi Pednekar spoke about her childhood days and revealed that she and her sister were bullied in school and made to feel unattractive. But it was the love showered on them at home that made them confident. "The best thing about my parents was that they respected our intelligence, they never underestimated our ambitions," she said. "We came back home after being bullied in school and felt like we were the most attractive sisters in the world simply because of the love they showered on us, there can be no other reason but that for a child," she added.

Bullying at school and boundless love at home resulted in Bhumi buying her first make-up kit at the age of 13. "In school, there are many people who don’t make you feel attractive at all. I was mesmerised by Bollywood as a child. But even with that mesmerised mind as a 13-year-old, I knew that beauty was therapeutic, it always has been for me. And now, with the gift of experience afforded by adulthood, I can see how precisely one can connect beauty and maturity. If you're not a good person deep down, everything will fall flat," she said.

On the work front, Bhumi Pednekar recently wrapped the first schedule of Raksha Bandhan starring Akshay Kumar and is also shooting for Mr. Lele with Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani.
