Bhumi Pednekar recently reminisced about her days as a casting agent, revealing that she was part of Ranveer Singh’s audition process for Band Baaja Baaraat (2010). She shared how Ranveer’s boundless energy and vibrant personality left a lasting impression during the auditions, even before he became a Bollywood sensation. Ranveer's charisma and dedication to the role ultimately helped him land his debut, which became a milestone in his career.

Bhumi Pednekar recently shared a delightful memory on Kareena Kapoor’s show, reminiscing about her casting days and Ranveer Singh’s unforgettable audition for Band Baaja Baaraat. Bhumi said, “I have a very good memory of Ranveer’s audition for Band Baaja Baaraat. He is so phenomenal and such a wonderful person. When he entered our casting office in Juhu, the energy that we see now on the red carpet or while interacting with people, that is the energy he had at that time.”

Bhumi Pednekar shared another anecdote from her casting days about Ranveer Singh’s audition for Band Baaja Baaraat. She revealed, “I had never seen somebody coming in for an audition with that persona. I remember that I was rehearsing lines with him, and usually, I would be very good because I would have taken at least 100 auditions of the same scenes by then, but it was the first time in a take when I forgot my lines. At that time, I realised that this person in front of me is so brilliant. I don’t think I will ever forget that experience.”

She added, “That energy and confidence was one thing I learnt from him. I continued that in my life as an actor. It is so important to be so positive in life. He is very kind as a person as well. I have literally known him when I was an assistant. And even till date when I meet him, the love is exactly the same, which I feel is incredible.”

On the work front, Ranveer Singh, last seen in Singham Again, has begun filming Aditya Dhar's untitled project. The film, also featuring Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal, marks his first project post becoming a father to daughter Dua. Produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, it promises an exciting ensemble.
