Exploring a new genre, Varun Dhawan will play a completely new role in the forthcoming horror comedy aka creature comedy Bhediya. The film will see him essay the character of a werewolf. The actor will be reuniting with Dilwale co-star Kriti Sanon in the film. With the massive response that they garnered during the trailer, the onscreen couple are currently busy with launching the music from the film. Recently they were seen attending the audio launch of the film’s second song, ‘Thumkeshwari’.
The said song, ‘Thumkeshwari’ is a peppy dance number filmed with Kriti Sanon, Varun Dhawan and many background dancers. The actors launched the song amidst the presence of media and fans. We got a glimpse of the event, we could see the immense roar of claps and hoots after the song was launched. With lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya, and music composed by Sachin-Jigar, the song is sung by the along with Ash King and Rashmeet Kaur. The song is a fun dance number with Kriti and Varun exploring some new groovy steps.

Coming to the film, Bhediya is a part of the horror-comedy universe created by Dinesh Vijan which includes his past films from the genre, Stree and Roohi. While this one features Varun in the lead, Stree had Shraddha Kapoor play the leading role of a witch and Roohi featured Janhvi Kapoor in the role of a girl possessed by another’s spirit. Both of them had Rajkummar Rao in the role of the leading man. On the other hand, Bhediya has Kriti Sanon as the leading lady. The film also stars Abhishek Banerjee, Deepak Dobriyal, and Paalin Kabak among others. The film, directed by Amar Kaushik, is slated to release on November 25.
