Kangana Ranaut, Girija Oak, Smita Tambe, Esha Dey, director Manoj Tapadia, and producers Jayantilal Gada and Shailesh R Singh attended the launch of the trailer of Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata at a multiplex in Mumbai.
Kangana Ranaut said, “When I was offered this film, naturally, I was hurt that something like this happened. When people lose their lives, it often gets a lot of exposure in the media. But when people save other people’s lives while putting their own lives in danger, uska kabhi baat koi karta nahin hai. Hardly any coverage was given to this episode in newspapers. Aap dekhenge toh aapko hasee aayegi. They still haven’t got an increment of one month to date.”
She continued, “We live in our bubble and are away from the problems of the real world. When I got into the skin of this character, mujhe ehsaas hua ki mere liye kitna zaroori tha film industry se duuri banana. It was also necessary to interact with the real junta and as a politician, I got a chance to do that a lot. Na jaane main apne aap ko kitne behtar kalakaar maanu, lekin I was acquainted with the truth that had I not interacted with aam junta, I would have been so incompetent for this role.”
Kangana further said, “Celebs are living in a bubble. Aap subah uthte hai, protein shake peete hai, gym jaate hai. By doing so, you will never get an idea of how the common man lives his life. I had gone through a kadi tapasya to play this role. I also wondered why I am going through this kadi tapasya; after all, I am a celeb. But while playing this role, I realized how far I was from reality. I learned that these women wake up at 4:00 am, fill water and cut vegetables while returning home in a local train. And in between, they have to face insults, save lives and clean excreta and spit of patients. Yet, when they go home smiling, humein apne aap ko dekhke bahut chota mehsoos hota hai.” As expected, the audience broke into applause.
Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata releases in cinemas on June 12.
