Agastya Nanda, Jaideep Ahlawat, Simar Bhatia, director Sriram Raghavan and producer Dinesh Vijan promoted their much-awaited film Ikkis on the first day of the Bollywood Hungama OTT India Fest and India Entertainment Awards 2025. This is the last film of everyone’s favourite actor, Dharmendra, who passed away on November 24. As expected, the team of the film shared their memories of working with Dharmendra. Jaideep Ahlawat had the maximum screen space with him and hence, he was Dharmendra’s last co-star. He shared lovely memories.
Jaideep Ahlawat said, “I am the actor in the film who has shared the maximum screen space with him (in his last film). He used to give love to everyone. One day, I was asking him about something. Suddenly, I don’t know what happened to him. He placed his hand on my face and said, ‘Kitna sona munda hai tu’. I was like, ‘Jab Dharam ji mujhe bol rahe hai ki main ek sundar aadmi hoon, toh duniya mein kisi aur insaan ki zaroorat nahin hai mujhe’!”
Jaideep Ahlawat also said, “Woh pyaari kahaaniyaan sunaate the, poetry sunaate the.”
Then, the actor narrated an amusing incident, “I was driving for a scene. It was a technical shot. I had to get down after which an AD would come and reverse the car. It was taking time. So, I told the AD, ‘For the next take, I’ll myself reverse the car’. It took 2-3 tries but finally, we got the take. When it was okayed, he said, ‘Itni baar aage peeche karne ke baad sahi jagah pe tu le ke aa hi gaya. Ab tujhe driving license mil jaayega’! He was quite ill at that time and yet, he had such a sense of humour.”
Ikkis releases in cinemas on December 25.
