BH OTT India Fest 2025: Dinesh Vijan shares HILARIOUS trivia about Ikkis director: “Sriram Raghavan writes letters to Alfred Hitchcock, and then replies as Hitchcock himself”

Agastya Nanda, Jaideep Ahlawat, Simar Bhatia, director Sriram Raghavan and producer Dinesh Vijan promoted their much-awaited film Ikkis on the first day of the Bollywood Hungama OTT India Fest and India Entertainment Awards 2025. The team of the film spoke highly of Sriram Raghavan.

It's common knowledge that Sriram is a passionate film buff who talks and breathes cinema, especially the ones made in the past. His films have often had references to past films and dialogues. Dinesh Vijan has worked successfully with Sriram Raghavan on Badlapur (2015). The Varun Dhawan-Huma Qureshi-Radhika Apte-Yami Gautam Dhar starrer was a big hit and Ikkis marks their second film together. On stage, Dinesh shared a hilarious anecdote about Sriram Raghavan that brought the house down.

Dinesh Vijan began by saying, “Today, I am going to let the cat out of the bag.” Then he revealed, “I have known Sriram for most of my filmmaking life. He has this rare trait where he’ll sit at night and write a letter to a very legendary filmmaker, like Alfred Hitchcock. He’ll ‘inform’ Hitchcock that ‘This is the scene I am shooting tomorrow, and I am stuck at this particular point. What do you think I should do?’.”

Dinesh Vijan continued, “This is not the strange part. He’ll then reply as Hitchcock to the letter he had written. (laughs)”

 Ikkis releases in cinemas on December 25.
