Talking about her preparation for the film’s action sequences, Wamiqa revealed an incredible behind-the-scenes story. Despite limited experience with action roles, she took up the challenge with determination. “I rehearsed for 2-3 days before shooting a major action scene,” she shared. The scene was intense and highly technical, so the crew allocated 7-8 hours to get it just right. But what happened on set surprised everyone, including Wamiqa herself. “We finished the scene in just two hours! The team was thrilled, and honestly, so was I,” she said with a laugh.

“When stars align, magic happens—and that day, it really felt magical. It was overwhelming to see how smoothly it all came together.” For audiences, this might be the most exciting part of Wamiqa’s character in Baby John. As a teacher, her role seems simple at first glance, but the film takes unexpected twists that lead her to perform some hardcore action. “The contrast between who my character is and what she does will definitely catch people off guard,” she teased. “There’s so much more to her than meets the eye.” Her ability to seamlessly transition from a nurturing teacher to an undercover cop has caught audience’s attention.

Speaking of the film, Baby John is a remake of Thalapathy Vijay starrer Theri, directed by Atlee. While this Hindi movie is directed by Kalees, it stars Varun Dhawan in the titular character along with Keerthy Suresh, Jackie Shroff, Zara Zyanna, among others in key roles. The film released in theatres on the occasion of Christmas, December 25.
