Babita Phogat attends Suhani Bhatnagar’s prayer meet; extends condolences : Bollywood News

Wrestler Babita Phogat, known for her prominent role in India's wrestling scene, recently attended the prayer meeting of Suhani Bhatnagar, the young actor who portrayed Junior Babita Phogat in the hit film Dangal. Suhani's untimely demise on February 16 sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry and her fans worldwide. She was only 19 years old.

The prayer meeting, held on February 19, was a sombre gathering to pay respects and offer condolences to Suhani's family in their time of grief. Suhani, who had won hearts with her portrayal of Junior Babita Phogat in Nitesh Tiwari’s critically acclaimed movie Dangal, had been battling dermatomyositis, a rare autoimmune disease, during her final days. She was undergoing treatment at AIIMS before her tragic passing.

Babita Phogat, deeply moved by the loss of Suhani, took to Instagram to share moments from the prayer meeting. In one of the heartfelt pictures, Babita can be seen attending the gathering. Another image captured Babita holding Suhani's mother's hand, offering solace and strength during this time. In her Instagram post, Babita expressed her condolences in Hindi, stating, “Suhani Bhatnagar, who played the role of my childhood in the film Dangal, reached her Faridabad residence today and paid condolences to her family and expressed condolences. Om Shant.”

For the unversed, the Faridabad-based Suhani Bhatnagar was admitted at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on February 7. However, her condition worsened which eventually led to her demise, revealed reports. In an interaction with ANI, Suhani’s father Sumit Bhatnagar mentioned that it all started with her developing rash-kind of issues on her skin, which was later diagnosed to be dermatomyositis. But her lungs started failing which eventually led to her demise.
