Babil Khan remembers Irrfan Khan on his 55th birth anniversary; says, “My inquiries are left for me to quench on my own” 55 : Bollywood News

Late actor Irrfan Khan would have turned 55 on Saturday, January 7, 2023. Sharing a post about him, his elder son Babil remembered his father on the day he “arrived here”.

On Saturday afternoon, Babil dropped a multiple-picture post, which has throwback pictures of Irrfan Khan. While the first photo appeared to be a family picture, in the rest of the shots, Irrfan can be seen having a fun time with Babil. Instagramming the post, Babil wrote, “Questions keep me up at night. Those that I never asked then, those that I can never ask now.”

He further added, “My inquiries are left for me to quench on my own, that’s okay, I will figure it out. I miss your laughter though, I don’t think there is an answer for that.” Concluding his note for the late father, Babil added, “Remembering a day when you arrived here.”

Reacting to the post, Irrfan’s Qarib Qarib Singlle co-star Parvathy Thiruvothu dropped three hearts for Babil’s “baba”. Jaskaran Singh Gandhi, Gaur Gopal das, Dia Mirza, Tisca Chopra, and Sanjana Sanghi also commented on the post. Meanwhile, a section of Irrfan Khan fans on the photo-video sharing platform flooded the comments section with red-heart emoticons.

Irrfan Khan died in Mumbai after a two-year-long battle with a neuroendocrine tumour in April 2020. Last year, this day, marked Irrfan’s first birth anniversary after his demise. That time too, Babil had shared an emotional note for his father, in which he talked about how the actor never believed in celebrating birthdays but this time, he could not forget his birthday even if he tried.

Coming to the professional front, Babil recently marked his debut with Netflix's original film, Qala, co-starring Tripti Dimri. Helmed by Anvita Dutt Guptan, Babil received a positive response from the audience as well as the critics for his performance.
