Avatar Rerelease: Surprise ‘Avatar: The Way Of Water’ glimpse in post-credits leave viewers excited

As James Cameron’s Avatar has been rereleased, viewers are surprised with footage from the upcoming sequel of the sci-fi.

As a curtain-raiser to the forthcoming sequel, James Cameron’s original Avatar from 2009 has been re-released. Interestingly, the audiences are being treated to sneak footage from the sequel, titled Avatar: The Way of Water. Interestingly, a bunch of viewers, who went to re-watch the sci-fi, took to their social media handle and shared that a short glimpse of The Way of Water is added at the end of Avatar.

Though neither the makers nor the studio has commented on the matter yet, it has received a positive reaction from the audience. One of the tweet users wrote, “I didn't expect to see a preview of the second film in a post-credits scene, it was grandiose and it promises”, in French. On the other hand, another user penned, “we are not ready for the visual madness that we are going to get”. Meanwhile, another viewer wrote, “the rendering was sublime”. On the other hand, a section of fans gave a special mention to the post-credit scenes without revealing much about it.

Set in the mid-22nd century, the James Cameron directorial focuses on the human colonization of Pandora, a valuable moon in the Alpha Centauri star system, and the ensuing conflicts with the native race. The drama revolves around Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and his interactions with the indigenous Na'vi tribe through the use of a genetically engineered body.

The star cast of the film includes Worthington with Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Michelle Rodriguez, and Sigourney Weaver. The second installment, Avatar: The Way of Water, has solidified its premiere date for December 16, 2022.
