Hotstar Specials’ City of Dreams returns with its highly anticipated third season, promising to deliver more drama, power struggle, and betrayal as the Gaikwad family battles for the throne. Produced by Applause Entertainment in association with Kukunoor Movies, and directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, the series boasts a star-studded cast featuring Atul Kulkarni, Priya Bapat, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Sushant Singh, Eijaz Khan, Rannvijay Singha, and many others. The series is set to stream soon on Disney+ Hotstar.
Atul Kulkarni, the versatile actor who plays the role of Ameya Rao Gaikwad in the political drama, City of Dreams, recently shared his experience of working on the set with Director Nagesh Kukunoor and co-actor Priya Bapat.
A fantastic on-set camaraderie translates into stellar performances on screen! Talking about season 3, Atul Kulkarni said, “I always enjoy working with Nagesh. He is a complete actor’s director. He guides you through the scene and it is a pleasure to work the scene out with him. I almost remember every day on-set, from the readings to the production of the scenes. I have a great equation with Priya, as we are extremely close friends off-screen too. Nagesh and Priya are the two people who really made every day special on sets.”
City of Dreams takes us through the murky world of politics in a metropolitan city as hunger for power and betrayal dominates this journey to ascension the throne. While Priya Bapat plays the role of an acting Chief Minister in the city, she has taken over her father Atul Kulkarni, who believes that only men are true heirs to his throne. Eijaz Khan plays the role of a widower, who is the right hand of Bapat in her quest to gain the throne.
