Marking their first collaboration together, Rajkumar Hirani will be seen joining hands with Shah Rukh Khan for Dunki.

Readers would recall that of late, there were rumours of the highly anticipated Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dunki being postponed. Owing to the same, in the recently held Ask SRK session, many fans expressed concern and reconfirmed with the superstar multiple times about the release date of the film, to which the actor continued to assert that the date remains the same for the film. Among them were also a few who were curious to know more details of the film and asked the actor about the same. In between all this, it was filmmaker and director of Rajkumar Hirani who left many entertained with his sudden tweet about the film.

Shah Rukh Khan had kicked off the Ask SRK session stating that he planned to interact with them in the midst of a break during shoot schedule. The actor had said, “Away shooting. Been told call time is a bit later. So think can do a faasssttt #AskSRK with u all if u are also free like me! Let’s start and ask for anything….oops ask anything!!! I mean.” Sharing a quirky and witty response to SRK’s post was his Dunki filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, who added, “Sirji ab bathroom se bahar aa jao. Kya kar rahe ho? Trailer dikhana hain.” This obviously not only left fans in splits but they were also thrilled to catch this fun banter between the filmmaker and actor.

Responding to the same, Shah Rukh Khan also added, "Oh Sh#%. Coming sir…doston se baat kar raha tha!!! Sorry boys and girls have to rush now. Varna #Dunki se nikaal denge!!! Thanks for ur time boys and girls. See u in the theatres very very soon. Love u all. So much to do less time to talk to you….Muah."

For the unversed, Dunki marks the first collaboration between Rajkumar Hirani, Shah Rukh Khan, and Taapsee Pannu. While not much has been revealed about the film, it is being said that the film revolves around immigration and features SRK in a new avatar, which will be distinct from his recent portrayals in Pathaan and Jawan. The film is slated for release on December 22, 2023.
