Arjun Kapoor has 10 consecutive new leading ladies – Can his record ever be broken?

en Bollywood News Arjun Kapoor has 10 consecutive new leading ladies – Can his record ever be broken?

For his fourth film Munna Michael, Tiger Shroff is being paired with his fourth new heroine, Nidhhi Agerwal. Before her, the other leading ladies to give Tiger company were Kriti Sanon [Heropanti], Shraddha Kapoor [Baaghi] and Jacqueline Fernandez [A Flying Jatt]. This makes Tiger one of the rare newcomers to find a new leading lady for each of his films.

Arjun Kapoor has 10 consecutive new leading ladies – Can his record ever be broken?

However, when it comes to this feat, he is not competing with other relative newcomers like Varun Dhawan or Sidharth Malhotra. Instead, he has Arjun Kapoor for competition.

"Believe it or not but Arjun Kapoor wears the crown for this truly rare feat. He has done eight films so far and in each of these films, he has found company of a different leading lady," comments an observer.

These are Parineeti Chopra [Ishaqzaade], Sasha Agha [Aurangzeb], Priyanka Chopra [Gunday], Alia Bhatt [2 States], Deepika Padukone [Finding Fanny], Sonakshi Sinha [Tevar], Kareena Kapoor Khan [Ki & Ka] and Shraddha Kapoor [Half Girlfriend].

"Now compare this to rest of the young ones who couldn't really enjoy a similar steak," the observer adds, "Varun Dhawan paired up with Alia Bhatt for Student of the Year and though he had Ileana D'Cruz and Nargis Fakhri as his leading ladies in Main Tera Hero, soon enough he was back with Alia Bhatt in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya. Sidharth Malhotra too had Alia Bhatt [Student of the Year], Parineeti Chopra [Hasee Toh Phasee] and Shraddha Kapoor [Ek Villain] to begin with but was back with Alia Bhatt in Kapoor & Sons. Yes, there was Brothers in the interim period but then he had no leading lady there."

As a matter of fact Ranveer Singh had Anushka Sharma as his lady love in his first two films itself, Band Baaja Baaraat and Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl.

"Call it coincidence but in an industry which has a dearth of promising boys and girls, you end up working with the same set of heroes or heroines sooner or later. In that aspect, Arjun Kapoor is clearly on the top with eight heroines in eight films. However, Tiger is next with four heroines in four films. It would be quite a task for him though to beat this record. Where exactly does one find four more heroines for him in his next set of films? Chances are, he would start Baaghi next and unless there is a new additional heroine added to the cast, he would continue to have Shraddha Kapoor opposite him. have Moreover, Arjun Kapoor has already moved on to his ninth new heroine, Ileana D'Cruz and Athiya Shetty for Mubarakan which makes it all the more difficult for Tiger to catch up," an industry insider comments.

Well, now that would be some feat to even match, leave aside beat!
