“Arbaaz will always be family” – Malaika Arora

While Malaika Arora’s personal life bagged the spotlight recently owing to her high profile divorce with husband Arbaaz Khan, rarely has any other aspect of her personal life been discussed. The actress manages to maintain a dignified silence when it comes to her private relationships, whether it is with her sister Amrita or her best friend Kareena Kapoor Khan.

In a candid chat with Hi! Blitz magazine recently, Malaika Arora Khan opened up and spoke about her much speculated personal life, her rapport with her sister Amrita, who too quite openly confessed about her sister’s good and annoying habits. Amidst the sibling banter, there were also mentions about other relations that included about the much talked about ‘Arora sisters and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s friendship’ as well as the Arora family’s current status with Arbaaz Khan.

One of the biggest confessions that Malaika Arora made was on her first impression about Shakeel Ladak, who is now the husband of her sister Amrita Arora. “I never liked him too much. Earlier we both (her and Amrita) thought he was too stuck up – but now when you actually get to know him, he’s a completely different person.” The opinion, as mentioned by them, obviously changed over a period of time and now not just Amrita but even Malaika believes that he is a perfect ‘go-to person’ in case of troubles. Although, the Arora girl did add jokingly that it was possible that the change would have partially been induced because of him becoming a part of their family.

Digging deeper into their bond as sisters, Malaika and Amrita make for perfect sisters since their revelations made us realize about their relatable fights, likes and dislikes. “She’s so opinionated and very hyper,” confesses Malaika about her sister Amrita. Although, the former does maintain that she initially was quite agitated about things around her, now she believes she has grown much calmer compared to her sister, Mrs. Ladak. On the other hand, Amrita mentioned that Malaika’s highly aggressive nature during an argument is the most annoying thing for her. “She has to have the last word. You can never put a full-stop with her,” adds the former actress.

What is also intriguing is the crazy and friendly relation that Amrita Arora shares with Malaika’s son Arhaan. Malaika is super thrilled about the duo’s relation and according to her, her son not only looks for Amu’s (as Amrita is fondly addressed as) approval time and again but he also considers her as his second ‘mama’. On the other hand, describing it in detail, Amrita added, “He was the first grandson in the family. So we have this crazy bond where I can fire him, I can pamper him. He can talk to me about anything. I can go shopping with him –weirdly we have the same likes, music, tastes, he’s like a friend.”

On the other hand, Malaika Arora asserts that despite the separation Arbaaz Khan will always be family. “He will always be family,” adds the reality show judge and voicing out the same thoughts is her sister Amrita Arora. The latter also maintained that he is like a brother to her stating, “We have a great rapport whether it’s our love for food or travel. He’s like my biggest hangout buddy.”

Malaika Arora also credits Amrita Arora for her friendship with Kareena Kapoor Khan. She adds that their friendship was basically a consequence of Amrita working with her as well as knowing Kareena since ages. “I guess we bond more because we are like sisters, we have the same issues – whether it’s between the sisters, mother and daughter, mother and son or husband and wife,” she concluded.
