Renowned filmmaker Anurag Kashyap recently shared some heartfelt insights about actor Nawazudding Siddiqui in a candid interview. For the unversed, the duo has now reunited on-screen in the film Haddi, marking Anurag's acting debut alongside Nawazuddin.

In a conversation with Humans of Bombay, Anurag Kashyap expressed his comfort in working with Nawazuddin Siddiqui while saying that their creative synergy has always been seamless. However, what stood out in the interview was Anurag's poignant observation that Nawazuddin is often "misjudged and misconstrued" by the public.

Anurag delved into the unique nature of Haddi, a film that allowed him to step into a world crafted by director Akshat Ajay Sharma, unlike anything he has encountered before. Anurag revealed that he portrays a character with negative shades in the movie, while Nawazuddin takes on the challenging role of a transgender character.

When discussing Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Anurag Kashyap remarked, "He's also an extremely misjudged and misconstrued person. Also because of whatever it is... the world sees you for many things. He is a guy who doesn't defend himself, he always stays silent. He never... he rarely stands up to something, out of love or whatever reasons it is or out of awkwardness. But when he does, it really makes a difference, but most often than not, he does not. But I know him really well inside out, so I have a very special place for him in my heart."

Anurag went on to express his enduring admiration for Nawazuddin, highlighting the actor's unique qualities that set him apart in the industry. He added, "It's always great working with him," and jokingly mentioned how Nawaz has managed to "kick his a**" during their collaboration in Haddi.

In recent times, Nawazuddin Siddiqui's personal life, including his ongoing divorce from his wife Aaliyah, has garnered significant media attention.
