Ahead of the official trailer launch of Subedaar, veteran actor Anupam Kher shared an emotional note after watching an unreleased version of the promo. The film, headlined by Anil Kapoor, is slated to release on March 5 and will stream on Prime Video India.
Taking to social media, Anupam revealed that he had the opportunity to watch the yet-to-be-released trailer and immediately recorded his spontaneous reaction. In his post, he wrote, “SUBEDAAR TRAILER REACTION: My dearest Anil, You showed me ‘yet to be released’ trailer of your film #Subedaar! And I had to immediately put my spontaneous reaction on camera! What you have done yet again is beyond remarkable. There is something so inspiring about watching you reinvent yourself with every film. Just when we think we have seen the best of #AnilKapoor, you arrive with a new shade, a new rhythm, a new fire in your eyes. The trailer is BRILLIANT. Powerful. Layered. And your performance carries that unmistakable intensity, the hunger of a newcomer and the craft of a master. That combination is rare.”
He further added, “What I admire most about you, #KapoorSaab, is that you never settle. You don’t lean on your legacy. You build it again and again. Reflecting specifically on Anil Kapoor’s performance, Anupam observed, “This is one of the first times that you are so laid back and still so powerful. There is a stillness in you and there is a quietness in you which speaks volumes.” He also noted, “It is something an actor achieves when he is comfortable with himself as a person,” adding, “When so much hard work you put in, you don’t see it obviously, but you see it.” Anupam also praised director Suresh Triveni, writing, “Brilliantly made. Suresh Triveni, I love your work, jealous that I've not worked with you as yet.”

Describing it as a privilege to watch the trailer ahead of its release, Anupam Kher concluded his note by congratulating the entire team, calling the experience emotionally powerful and deeply mature.
Coming to Subedaar, it is an action-drama revolving around a retired soldier struggling to adapt to civilian life in a rapidly changing world. With Anil in the titular role, it stars Radhikka Madan as his daughter Shyama along with Saurabh Shukla, Aditya Rawal, Mona Singh, and Faisal Malik in key roles. Produced by Abundantia Entertainment, Opening Image Films, and Anil Kapoor Film & Communication Network, the film is scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on March 5, 2026.
