Anushka Sharma ecstatic at Virat Kohli’s innings against Sri Lanka, “What a guy!” : Bollywood News

Virat Kohli played a stupendous innings yesterday against Sri Lanka in the third one-day international at Vishakhapatnam. He made an unbeaten 166, which helped India score a mammoth score of 390 for 5. That’s not all. India even broken the record of a highest margin victory ever in ODIs by as many as 317 runs as Sri Lanka was bundled out for just 73. Kohli’s wife and actress Anushka Sharma was jubilant by her husband’s contribution in India’s humongous victory.

The Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi actress took to her Instagram story and wrote, “What a guy. What an inning played,” which was followed by a heart emoji. The picture she shared was the one where Virat reached his century.

Anushka is regularly seen in the stands cheering for Virat on various occasions. When that isn’t possible, she takes onto social media whenever he plays well. One of her memorable responses was the one when Virat helped India beat Pakistan in last year’s T20 World Cup win against Pakistan, which is considered one of the most exciting matches of all-time.

Right after the match, Anushka clicked pictures of Virat from her TV and expressed her happiness. An excerpt from her long quote read, “You are a wonderful, wonderful man my love. Your grit, determination and belief is mind boggling !! I have just watched the best match of my life. I can say and although our daughter is too small to understand why her mother was dancing around and screaming wildly in the room, one day she will understand that her dad played his best innings that night which followed after a phase that was tough on him but he came out of it stronger and wiser than ever before!”

Co-incidentally, at the work front, Anushka’s next film is based on cricket. It’s a biopic of the former Indian fast bowler Jhulan Goswami’s biopic Chakda Xpress.
