Popular Television actor Ankit Gera, who has starred in shows like Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke, Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya and Agneephera, has finally tied the knot with his partner Rashi Puri, who is an NRI from Nigeria.

The actor got married in an intimate wedding ceremony in Chandigarh on June 5, 2021 with only 10 people in attendance. The pictures of Ankit with his wife from their wedding day have gone viral on the internet, where the duo is seen in beautiful pink pastel shades attires.

Talking about his sudden and secret marriage, the actor opened up to a tabloid and said it’s an arranged marriage and that they are family friends. Their parents were looking for suitable partners for both of them and that’s when they suggested both of them to talk. The duo then started talking in April and soon developed a liking for each other. Rashi flew down to India around three weeks ago before the wedding to meet Ankit.

Ankit also said that even though it was a short span, they have got to know each other better and that's why decided to spend rest of the life together. He further also added that they are both poles apart in every aspect. He revealed that Rashi had no clue about his work as an actor and she liked him as a person and not by profession. That’s what made Ankit fall in love with her.

Talking about his secret marriage, the 33-year-old actor revealed that their families decided on a date in December so that they can marry as soon as possible. But he and his family wondered when things will get to normal. The actor is going to turn 34 this year and felt the ideal age to settle down in life. Leading to these factors, the actor and his family decided to have an intimate lockdown wedding to be attended only by extremely close people.
