Two years ago, on today's date, legendary beauty Sridevi left us. Her demise created a void in the film industry, that isn't meant to be filled anytime soon. But beyond that, it is her family and close ones that miss her presence most dearly. Earlier in the day, her elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor remembered her mother as she shared a throwback photo on Instagram.
Boney Kapoor's brother and Sridevi's brother-in-law Anil Kapoor has now penned a heartfelt note on social media. “Sri, 2 years have gone by and we’ve missed you every day. Reminiscing about old memories is a bitter sweet feeling. We wish you had more time with the people you love, but we are thankful for all the time we did have with you. You’re in our thoughts and prayers forever,” he wrote.

Sridevi, who was attending a family wedding in Dubai, accidentally drowned in the hotel bath tub. The mishap happened a few days after the wedding, when Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi Kapoor had returned to Mumbai. Janhvi, who was then working on Dhadak, could not attend the wedding due to work commitments.
