Veteran actor Anil Kapoor has voiced strong support for the Indian Army following the successful execution of Operation Sindoor — a retaliatory military strike launched in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. The operation, which reportedly targeted terror launch pads across the border, has been described as a precision counteroffensive carried out by Indian forces after the tragic April 22 attack in Pahalgam that claimed the lives of several innocent citizens.

On May 16, Kapoor took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his thoughts. “What needed to be done—was done. Which family does not have differences within their members, but when it comes to the nation, we stand as one. Always have, always will. Grateful to our armed forces for standing tall and striking back with valor. India doesn’t forget. India doesn’t forgive. Jai Hind… Jai Hind ki Sena!” the actor wrote.

Kapoor’s tweet followed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address earlier this week, where the PM confirmed that tensions between India and Pakistan had been de-escalated and reassured the public about India’s preparedness and resolve in defending national security.

The Judaai and Animal star has been vocal about his respect for the armed forces throughout his career, and his recent social media posts further reflected his unwavering solidarity. On May 8, Kapoor had tweeted, “All my gratitude and prayers for the brave women and men defending us. You are our heroes.” This came amid reports that security had been tightened across Jammu and Kashmir, following intelligence inputs of heightened cross-border activity.

Immediately after the Pahalgam attack, Kapoor had also expressed grief over the incident, stating, “Heartbroken by the tragic attack in Pahalgam. Praying for strength and peace.”
