He said, "I am joining a popular show, and that matters because associating with a show that no one is watching doesn’t make sense. My entry will add to the love triangle, and I have cut my hair shorter for the role." He also disclosed that he had another offer as well, and added, "I took the one that got finalised first. One has to take an instinctive decision."

Angad has been a part of the TV industry for almost 18 years now and feels that doing a daily soap always brings stability. Talking about his journey, he said, “I came to Mumbai in 2005, and joined Sapna Babul Ka… Bidaai in 2007. After Bidaai, my journey has been interesting. Yes, I have to travel between Mumbai and Chandigarh, but when I reflect on my journey, I feel blessed because, until now, I have been working non-stop. There has been no gap as such.”

"I feel blessed that I have worked with all the channels. I have been playing leading characters, and my 18 years have been spent portraying leads, and I consider myself fortunate for this. In my 18-year journey, if I have ever stopped, it was because of my will, as I also have to oversee my business in Punjab. People tell me that I am getting mature, and at the age of 36–37, you start having fewer role options, but I haven't faced any such problems because the roles that I have played have been young and fresh, and I feel lucky in that aspect. The TV industry is unpredictable. There is too much competition, and if you are not willing to play a role, someone else will. One is replaceable on TV," he added.

Angad also pointed out that, though people are yet to explore more when it comes to male characters, he feels lucky to have played challenging characters. Mentioning his new character, he said, "The character that I am playing right now is very different and powerful, which is very difficult to portray as it has various shades."
